Nuestro estampado Peliqueiros es un homenaje a los protagonistas del carnaval de Laza, un pueblecito de Orense donde esta tradición se remonta a tiempos ancestrales. Hemos elegido una preciosa imagen de los años cuarenta, recopilada por Félix Castro y cedida por Víctor Fraguas, para que sepáis cómo son. Los peliqueiros desafían con su fusta a cualquiera que se cruze en su camino sin perder la elegancia: chaqueta corta de flecos dorados y cintas de colores, camisa blanca y una corbata roja, calzones blancos con borlas y medias rojas. Un auténtico tesoro artesanal.

Our pattern Carnival Men is a tribute to the main character of Laza's Carnival, a small village in Orense, Galicia, where this tradition dates back to ancient times. We've picked a beautiful image from the 40's, collected by Félix Castro and given by Víctor Fraguas, to show you how they look like. The Galician word for these Carnival Men is peliqueiros and they are known by challeging anyone in his way without losing their charm: short jacket with gold fringe and colored ribbons, white shirt and red tie, whitepants and red socks with tassels. A true handcrafted treasure.
